Graiguenamanagh works both sides of the county border — the town on the Kilkenny bank, Tinnahinch across the bridge in Carlow, and it makes no difference to the job which side of the Barrow your door is on. The town's mix of old abbey-quarter streets and newer estates off the New Ross road keeps a steady rhythm of moves and deliveries.
The valley patch runs from Borris down through St Mullins and across to Inistioge — postcard country with narrow approaches and the odd boat-related delivery down at the quay. Barge furniture, actually, is a recurring specialty: getting a sofa down a slipway takes a certain willingness.
