Sofas, beds and the awkward heavy stuff

Sofas are the classic "will it even fit?" job. The long-wheelbase Transit swallows most three-seaters, corner sofas and modular pieces without issue. If in doubt, send a WhatsApp photo of the piece and both doorways before we book — five minutes checking beats a wasted trip on the day.

Beds, wardrobes and dining tables travel wrapped and strapped. Mattresses get carried on their side, never dragged, and go in blanket-covered so they arrive as clean as they left.

Can you deliver a sofa the same day?
Almost always yes. Call before noon and single-item sofa deliveries within Kilkenny city can usually happen the same afternoon.
Do you collect from IKEA in Dublin?
Weekly. Send us the order confirmation and your address and we'll collect the full van-load from Ballymun and deliver to your door. From €180.
Will you take a sofa up stairs?
Yes — up to first-floor apartments and terraced houses in the standard price. Second-floor and above in blocks without lifts, tell us in advance so we can plan two people if the piece is heavy.
Do you supply moving blankets?
Yes — blankets, straps and cling-wrap all come with the van at no extra cost. Fragile items are wrapped for the road.
Can you collect from Facebook Marketplace and pay the seller?
Yes — this is a common request. Send the listing, we'll coordinate with the seller and can pay in cash on collection (you settle up with us). Buyer beware still applies — check the item is as described before we load.
What's the biggest thing you've moved?
American-style fridge-freezers, corner sofas, IKEA PAX wardrobes fully built, and full sheds broken down. If it fits through the door, it'll usually fit in the van.
Do you help assemble the furniture?
Assembly isn't part of the delivery service — we deliver, carry in and place. Plenty of independent handymen in Kilkenny handle flat-pack build if you need one.
Is there a minimum charge?
€40 for single items in Kilkenny city, €50 elsewhere in the county. That's the minimum call-out — there's no minimum hour.
